Blue Belly Lizard - CURRENTLY UNDER CONSTRUCTION

This is a multi tiered landscape just within coastal windshot of San Rafael Bay with a view of Mt. Tam. The family who lives here prioritizes their landscape as a place to live in together. All of the elements have been stitched together to respect what was there to begin with; an existing pool is reworked as a geometroc form emerging from the hillside, the courtyard is kept organic with flagstone to play against the trapezoidal architecture of the mid-century home. The details are essential. Three levels of landscape inspire and feel of spillage. A stone garden spills onto the pool deck. Flagstones split open near planting.
